Positively Charged!

Earlier this month, I attended a full day wellness retreat called The Positivity Charge.


The morning began with a light breakfast, yoga, and then an all female panel of beauty, health, wellness, and real estate professionals. They discussed how their industries impact the world and the importance of cultivating a positive mindset to enhance our health and quality of living.

I walked away inspired, energized, and with new friendships as I connected with other ambitious, like-minded women who had a mission to leave a positive impact in this world.

It's important to physically get yourself out there (even if you're an introvert like me), attending events and establishing positive, healthy relationships with like- minded people. This is crucial to stay inspired as we strive to succeed.

Mint chocolate chip ice cream for breakfast...and it's super healthy!


Well at least my morning shakes taste like mint chocolate chip ice cream! Mmmm...so good, and healthy!

Back into routine after the long holiday weekend and I'm feeling refreshed as the second half of 2019 is underway. This routine also includes my full-time job where I'm at the gym every weekday morning at 4:45am and constantly active.

Though I adapted quickly to this schedule back in April, I was however struggling to stay consistent with packing nutritious breakfasts to keep me fueled that early.

A typical breakfast consisted of hot and cold cereals that were healthy, but they were too much trouble since I needed to constantly be present on the floor overseeing the facility.

Exactly one month ago, I began incorporating some products from Isagenix, a private multi-level marketing company that distributes high quality health and wellness products.

The health and fitness industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, and yes there's a lot of misleading information, fads, trends, and quick fixes out there with low quality ingredients, easily found in convenient stores, but Isagenix is NOT one of them. Believe me, I used to be so close minded to these kinds of things.

However, over this past year, the more I opened my mind to this particular company, mainly from listening to the success stories of others, and those I knew, is what inspired me to start.

Currently, I've been incorporating a shake a day, filled with 24 grams of high quality protein, energy-fueling carbs, healthy fats, and essential vitamins and minerals. I add almond milk, shake it up, and go! My go-to flavor right now is the Chocolate Mint, hence why I said mint chocolate chip ice cream for breakfast cause that's what it tastes like.

I consume other Isagenix products as well, including vitamins that support healthy aging, organ, and immunity support (beneficial for my thyroid condition) and the results have been phenomenal. Keeps me full, fueled, and enhances my performance because I'm consuming high quality ingredients.

Now the intention of this newsletter is to 100% not sell you on these products, but to 100% share my story, as someone who stands behind these products and company as a whole...and I'm brand new!

The moral of this message is to inspire you to keep an open mind to something that may benefit you in sustaining your health and fitness goals once and for all.

3 Easy ways to stay Healthy & Fit this Summer

Oh sweet summer. We enjoy the longer days, cookouts, vacations, and a much deserved break from the everyday hustle and bustle we’ve been putting in all year. Yes, the living is laid back and easy, but it can also wreak havoc on your health and fitness if you let it.


I encourage you to let loose and enjoy the summer to the fullest, but at the same time don't lose sight of your health and fitness progress.  

Here are 3 easy ways to stay healthy and fit this summer:

1) Pick up the Pace!

You can easily and quickly add a few stretches, pick up your pace while walking, and add some form of resistance training with exercise bands, dumbbells, a hand towel, or your own body weight.  Click here to watch my hand towel exercise video.

2) Eat your Water.

Stay hydrated with natural drinking water of course, but take advantage of seasonal produce such as watermelon, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, and pineapples which contain a high water content, and many vitamins and minerals to keep your body healthy and hydrated during these hot, humid months.

3) Disconnect to Reconnect.

Take a break from the internet, including social media.  Put down the phone, log off the computer, and be present in the moment.  You will feel more calm, at ease, and have an opportunity to engage in more meaningful conversations and participate in summer activities with those you most care about.



April is National Humor Month...no joke!


In honor of April being National Humor Month (no joke 😉), I want to encourage you load up on the Vitamin L (laughter that is) and find ways to laugh more.

Laughter and humor are essential to our health and well being. Smiling, laughing, and not taking ourselves too seriously shapes our personality and our outlook on life.  

Having a great sense of humor offers many healthy benefits such as improving cardio health, lowering stress and anxiety, providing a sense of well being, and it’s also a great abdominal workout!
