Remember, everything's gonna be alright.

This past weekend I attended a wellness retreat that couldn't of come at a better time.

In all honesty, the past couple of days leading up to this retreat I was experiencing feelings of sadness, anger, and overwhelm.

It was moving to be in a room full of 150+ women from all walks of life who were just as positive and upbeat as myself and dealt with those same feelings that I recently experienced. We’re human after all.

Living with a thyroid condition, I tend to have hormonal fluctuations that can greatly affect me from an emotional standpoint. Also, I had something in my personal life that didn't quite workout the way I had hoped, and was reminiscing on the 10th anniversary of my grandmother's passing on top of that.

Within the past few years the topic of mental illness and behavior has made headlines, more with the recent passing of two public figures who unfortunately took their own lives.

We never truly know what someone is going through in life, however I feel the best thing we can offer each other is a listening ear, kindness, love, compassion, or any positive deed.

You never truly know what those deeds can do for someone.

Today I feel amazing, grateful for these past few weeks because I've become stronger through it all.
